Press Release: North Fork Archery Club to Host 3-D Archery Shoot July 26-27
The two-day event will be held on a near 150-acre section of the Shoshone National Forest.
LANDER – The North Fork Archery Club announced today the 2025 Bowhunters Rendezvous at South Pass presented by Maven, a 3-D archery shoot to be held July 26-27, 2025 near the southern end of Louis Lake Road in the Shoshone National Forest. The two-day event will feature more than 40 strategically-placed 3-D foam archery targets across two courses, fun games, prizes, giveaways and more.
The family-friendly event is open to archers of all ages, and will include optional competitive divisions for youth, men and women. Attendees will have the opportunity to win prizes from Maven, Kifaru, GAS Bowstrings, Wind River Outdoor Company, and other well-known outdoor brands.
“Above all else, the 2025 Bowhunters Rendezvous is about bringing bowhunters and their families together, having fun, and getting in a little bit more practice before archery season kicks off in the Fall,” said Kray Lutz, president, North Fork Archery Club. “It’s a great opportunity for folks to spend a weekend with their friends and family, and there’s no shortage of beautiful camping spots in the National Forest.”
Archers will shoot one of two courses each day, and Saturday evening will feature a series of fun games for adults and children alike. Course set up will begin Friday afternoon, and a raffle for prizes will be held at the conclusion of the shoot Sunday.
“Whether we’re supporting our nation’s top archers in the Olympic Games or supporting our local archery club, Maven has always valued the impact the sport of archery has on those who participate in it,” said Cade Maestas, co-owner and Chief Operating Officer at Maven Optics. “Having an active archery club in our backyard is not only a tremendous benefit to many of our employees, but also to our community as a whole.”
For those interested in opting into competitive divisions, the event will hallmark the introduction of a relatively new, albeit simple, set of rules for 3-D archery – shooters must use the archery equipment they plan to hunt with (minus broadheads).
“From day one, we, as a club, have emphasized to our members – and guest shooters – the importance of ‘practicing how you play,’ and this shoot will be designed to help folks do exactly that,” Lutz said. “We’ve seen a groundswell of support for an event like this which puts the development of ethical and proficient bowhunters at the forefront. Even our younger archers appreciate the opportunity to go on a ‘mock hunt’ with their parents.”
Admission for both days is free to children 12 years of age or younger, 25 dollars for North Fork Archery Club members, and 40 dollars for non-members.
